Closure, and an Opening

This summer we buried my parents. My brother’s family traveled from Washington to Wisconsin to celebrate Mom and Dad’s life and finally reunite them in eternity.

After a beautiful memorial at Lake Michigan, it was time to blend my brother’s and my family into one.

We spent 10 days together, seeing the sites of Milwaukee and Chicago, enjoying great food and each other's fantastic company.

My son Mario.

We also spent time crafting. Crafting is a wonderful bonding agent. After a day of sightseeing, my sister-in-law and niece spent several evenings making a Sew and Sew Retreats staple piece – fabric bowls. We talked, laughed and got to know each other more deeply. I sent them back to Washington with a great new project and a lifelong bond to me!

I can’t wait to see what fabric bowls they create with their new skills.

My husband Steve and me enjoying the extended family time!
