My First Teddy Bear
My youngest son (I have three awesome boys/men) is expecting his first child in June. A Baby-Q shower was held for him and his girlfriend and I wanted to give something homemade. Something cute and loveable and huggable for my new grandchild. I decided on a teddy bear. Years ago I fell in love with a blue velvet teddy bear with red plaid taffeta paws -it's so huggable. Satisfaction
There is something very satisfying about sewing a box cushion. It has all these parts and sections - zipper, cording, top and bottom panels, four side panels, oh, and STRIPES. And when it all comes together so sweet and neat and tidy, well...satisfaction. It's a thing of beauty. Here's another box cushion I worked on today.
